
PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Pattison Media’s #1 Winnipeg radio station, QX 104, is looking for its next Program Director! Join us and lead one of the best teams in the country.
We’re looking for someone who’s energetic, passionate about the product and willing to take risks to ensure QX104’s continued success and growth. Reporting to the General Manager, this rare opportunity allows decisions & programming to be developed at the local level, it is an outlet for creativity and a chance to work for a company that believes programming and talent are key ingredients to its success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the GM and programming consultant.
- Collaborate with sales, promotions, creative, digital, traffic and production departments.
- Meet with and coach talent.
- Prepare for and attend music meetings.
- Schedule and finalize on-air logs when required.
- Develop annual programming plans.
- Monthly and annual regulatory and internal reports.
- Market research and analysis.
- Prepare, monitor, and adhere to the programming budget.
- Regularly monitor the station and its competitors, both on the air and digital assets.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Critical thinking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of and love for the country music format.
- Minimum of 5 years on-air experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of Numeris ratings analysis, Mediabase, Musicmaster, Wide Orbit automation systems and social media platforms.
- Valid driver’s license.
